23-24.09.2017 | Photography Workshop on Olympus mountain
Our first photo workshop was held on Mount Olympus on the last weekend of September with the clear sky as our ally, with smiles and many images that caught our eye and were captured by our cameras.
Our mountain walk started on Saturday morning from the western summits of Mount Olympus and at an altitude of over 2,000 m. 4×4 vehicles transported us and our equipment to an altitude of 2,500 m. From there, we walked through the wild slopes and the high peaks of Mount Olympus.
The first day was rounded off with some night-time photography, while the dawn of the next day found us immortalizing the colors of the sunrise from one of the highest spots on Mount Olympus, Skala summit (2.882m).
Participants had the opportunity to try various photographic techniques, to learn useful information and receive tips on landscape photography, but also to become familiar with the appropriate photographic and mountaineering equipment.
During the weekend, we visited the summits of Kardaras (2.451m), Flambouro (2.473m), Nana (2.284m), Skolio (2.904m) and Skala (2.882m).
I would like to thank Canon Greece, The North Face, V15.gr Outdoor shop, Olympus Path, and Enjoy Travel and Tourism for their help with this workshop.
